In April, Synctera launched new products and features that make it easier for Synctera Console users to access the data most relevant to them and equip compliance teams with new tooling to understand the risk profile of their end-users. 

These updates include:

  • Expanding Customer Risk Rating with smarter signals and deeper configurability
  • Providing faster access to relevant data with enhanced filtering capabilities

Expanding Customer Risk Rating with smarter signals and deeper configurability

Synctera is enhancing its Customer Risk Rating (CRR) engine to give Synctera's sponsor bank partners more dynamic, data-driven control over how customer risk is assessed and managed. These updates expand the CRR signal set and introduce new tooling to configure, test, and monitor CRR models with greater precision.

On the scoring side, CRR now factors in a broader set of behavioral and contextual signals, including:

  • Payment type, product access, and FinTech program
  • Real-time transaction activity and geography
  • Adverse media match outcomes
  • AML case escalations

Risk scores are recalculated automatically as these signals change. In some cases ongoing reviews for high-risk end-users needs to occur. Synctera’s enhanced due diligence (EDD) case workflow provides the ability to configure review schedules for high-risk end-users, for example, triggering an annual review cadence for anyone in a high-risk tier. When an end-user’s risk tier increases, a case is automatically created to capture the change and surface it for review, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

For compliance teams, we've introduced a risk configuration simulation and testing experience. Teams can now back-test draft CRR configurations against customer data, and drill into per-customer calculation breakdowns to better understand exactly what's driving a score.

Faster access to relevant data with enhanced filtering capabilities in the Synctera Console

The Synctera Console is a company’s central command center for their FinTech or embedded finance product. As programs grow, and the number of customers, transactions, and cases increase, finding the right data at the right time becomes increasingly important. In the past month our team has launched two new enhancements to how data can be filtered in the Synctera Console, making sorting through large datasets as seamless as possible. 

1. Synctera Cases List View: Synctera Cases enables compliance and operations teams to seamlessly manage key workflows such as manual KYC reviews, AML alerts, marketing materials reviews, and more. When viewing cases in a list view, users can now personalize the list of filters available and save their filter settings to their user preferences. Filters include data points such as date, status, last activity, assignee, and more. Users can customize their filtering toolbar depending on which filters they use most frequently. 

2. Past Due Accounts: When operating a credit product, end-users that do not pay their minimum payment are placed in a past due or delinquent status. When viewing all accounts in the Synctera Console users can now easily filter by past due,delinquent or revoked accounts to quickly identify these accounts and service them accordingly.
